about

The way the drums fall in this song I borrowed from an unknown song, which serves as the intro to an old video i saw promoting Brazilian culture. I really liked the drums so I replicated them making them bang a little harder, I sampled the song "When Sunny Gets Blue" by Johnny Mathis. The words in the sample "lost her smile, changed her style" do not apply to the person i am speaking of, but the tone is a serious one, and the song is very serious. Stephanie was a person who I knew growing up in Clearwater, she was always doing great things and treating people well, she took a sincere interest in my life and I knew that all I had to was be alive for her to show me love and support. It meant and still means a lot to me. Her Father also introduced me to doo-wop music. HARMONIES.
